Meet the Director

Lisa Schroeder

With 38 years of dance experience, Ms. Lisa has a wide range of dancing to draw from. She received her B.A. in dance from the University of Minnesota where she was a member of their dance company UrepCo. While at the University of Minnesota, she had the opportunity to work with many of the leading choreographers from across the country including LaVaughn Robinson of Philadelphia (tap), Douglas Dunn and Susan McGuire of New York (modern), and Billy Siegenfield also of New York (jazz).

Her theatrical background brings performances as a “Hot Box Dancer” from “Guys and Dolls,” and performing excerpts of “Rodeo” staged by a founding member of the original Broadway cast. She was also a dancer on the Reebok Performance Team for the MN Timberwolves. She has made multiple appearances on local talk show television programs. Lisa has choreographed many award winning dances on both a regional and national level. Her biggest accomplishment has been opening Spotlight Productions Dance Studio in 1992, where they started with roughly 40 students. The studio is now home to over 500 students and continues to thrive and produce talented performers in a positive environment. She is excited to see what the future holds for the studio and to see her students grow as dancers and individuals.
